I recently bought a 1999 Supercharged Miata as a midlife crisis present to myself. I bought it off the internet in California, and it has a very tricked out engine with a Jackson Racing supercharger. Unfortunately, the car wouldn't start, and I couldn't get it to idle. I asked several shops in the valley if they could help, but no one was willing to work on it. Finally, I found Chris at Ascent Auto, and he was the only one willing to work on the engine. Chris has gone above and beyond to try and fix the starting and stalling issue. I really appreciate all the research that he has put into getting this resolved. I look forward to driving my Miata with the top down this next summer!

Was headed west through the mountains when my car broke down passing through Avon. Needed to get it back on the road quickly, and although they certainly weren't obligated to, the good folks at Ascent Automotive worked late friday and over the weekend to get my car fixed.

Chris in particular was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond. Would rate higher than 5 stars if I could.

My car was leaking oil and they charged me $2,400 for a repair they knew wouldn't work. After doing the reparations, my car continued to leak oil and when I took it to warranty they told me it was because the car's engine was burning oil. After a lot of research I realized that they knew that the useful life of a Mercedes engine is approximately 150 thousand miles and my car had them, knowing this they decided to do the work and charge me for the repairs.

I was very excited to find this place last year. The guy running it was a stand up dude. He shared his battle with cancer and was just an all around awesome dude. Since he has left and there is a new guy im dealing with the prices sky rocketed and the service went to zero. Don't use this place. Dude has no soul and is a low life scum bag.I ended up towing it away after halving my truck towed here. They will be successful with the amount of rich people here but if you’re a normal guy trying to survive. Stay far away. Btw the way, the reason I towed it away is a 1,400 bill for a FUEL PUMP. it cost me the same with towing it here then towing it away and paying 150$ to get my key from the scumbag behind the counter. Mike is replacing it for me for 500$ but in total I paid the same just to not give that guy any more than I already got scammed out of.

I’m the case this guy tries to say it’s fair let’s break down this scum bags estimate.

The fuel pump part I purchased with Mike is 150$ his labor is 350$. 500$ total for my repair.
The new desk scammer from acent wanted to charge me 600$ in labor and 700$ in parts. Not an exaggeration but hard facts.

Look it up There are no good reviews since the main guy left. I’d pay 1000$ again to never be scammed by that low life again.

We've worked with Ascent for a few years but will most likely not be using them anymore. I called 3 weeks ago to order snow tires for a new vehicle. I was told he had to put out a fire and would call me back ASAP with pricing. 5 days later, I called back because I hadn't heard from him. Like I said, we have history and this was a simple mistake so I ordered tires from them and was hoping to drop the truck prior to my appointment and get them put on while I was out of town. He said I couldn't do that as there was nowhere to park the truck overnight. Not typical for them, but no biggie, I booked for the following Monday when I was back in town, and dropped my truck off at 8:30am. I called at 2pm to see about pick-up status, and he told me that he had forgotten to order the tires, but that he ordered them today and they would be delivered tomorrow.

I'm really not a fan of how this whole experience was handled. Call me back as soon as he realized the tires had never been ordered? I went and picked up my truck and he basically slid my keys across the table and didn't say a word. I told him that we had been a good customer and probably wouldn't be coming back and he said, "My bad". That's it! I walked out and ordered from someone else

I broke down in the middle of a road trip and every other shop I called turned me away except for this place. They were able to get me back on the road after replacing a water pump in just 4 hours. Whatever your car needs, bring it here.
