The organization seems more interested in kicking people off the wait-list than out reaching those seeking homes. I've been looking for a home since 2020 and on this wait-list since at least summer of 2022. In that time they could not answer a simple question about whether my wait-list position had actually come up (half a dozen calls, no answers). Then they removed me for not replying to a letter mailed that was mailed to an outdated address I have not lived at since October of 2022 (had to relocate that autumn). But they sent Notice of Removal through current and valid email!

There were options to update both phone and email on the web portal, but not option to change home address/mailing address. This is an absolutely mad way to run a Housing wait-list unless the goal is to *never* house needy disabled, elderly, etc.

Boulder County Housing Authority clearly has no interest in speaking to members of the public. They have changed their phone setup so that it's virtually impossible to ever reach a human being. When I finally got to a "phone bank", the recording said the wait for an operator was 26 minutes. This was after I had already spent 25 minutes calling 8 times to try to find anyone to answer any extension or department. This is unacceptable. There is zero customer service. I need to talk to someone today, so leaving messages on voice mails is not a solution If I could rate it zero stars, I would.

Boulder county doesn’t want to work with you at all! They just want to be rude and uncaring! Nice way to work with people! Don’t recommend dealing (any other county is better)

As the others comments have already mentioned, it is impossible to speak with anyone. I tried every extension I could and it doesn't even ring it just automatically says no one is available. This is supposed to be one of the most liberal counties in the state. This is just sad!
