Me dijeron que podía devolver el auto en el aeropuerto mismo a cualquier hora y no fue así. Se devolvía en una playa de estacionamiento que dependía de un shuttle que no pasó, y no me dieron solución. Reconocimiento positivo para Britta en la playa de devolución que ante la situación me ofreció llevarme al aeropuerto y fue efectiva y bien predispuesta.

BE AWARE OF THE QUOTE! We have rented a vehicle through them and the quote was different than the final invoice. We were charged late fee even though we have returned vehicle on time. There are additional charges that don’t make sense! I would definitely NOT recommend renting vehicle through them. Very shady business practice!

Dishonest! For my last two rentals in Colorado they quietly slip in an extra charge on the fueling. I always FULLY fill the tank at the nearest station prior to returning. I provide the fuel receipt and a picture of the odometer and the fuel gauge. The check-in person sees the evidence and thanks me for my business, then slips in the fuel charge and says nothing about it.

We rented a car in Denver and upgraded to a 4WD. They gave us a Dodge Ram pickup which I am fine with because I drive a pickup at home. However, this dodge ram didn't have a proper 4WD "high". It simply had 2WD and 4WD LOCK, (which is what you need to pull someone out of the mud but can't really be driven at higher speeds). But realistically, if you are renting a 4WD for a family vacation, it's going to be used on the highway at some point or another especially with vehicles that don't come with winter tires. A pickup truck in 2WD with summer tires is completely useless in the snow.

A couple days later the 4WD failed because the highway use burnt the clutch pack in the front differential and we needed to change the car. However roadside assistance refused to send us a car because we could still use technically move the truck in 2WD. They said the only thing we could do would be to drive to the closest Budget location to change vehicles. The closest location was an hour away but the person on the phone took the time to call (Eagle Airport) and called me back saying, they don't have a pickup but you could change to a Chevrolet suburban or Ford navigator. I decided to drive the hour to Eagle to change the vehicle because the upgrade was appreciated.

When we arrived at budget eagle airport, the woman working at the counter seemed annoyed that roadside assistance had made such promisses, she said she wasn't upgrading and she was giving me another dodge ram. I said no, we're going to have the same problem and it was clear they had plenty of trucks and a literal pile of keys on the board. I would not have wasted half a day of my vacation to fight with the person over vehicles she clearly had. She then she said she was giving us a small KIA at which I also refused because we were 4 plus ski gear and it wasn't going to work. Next she said she would give us a Ford Explorer but when I went to leave with it, discovered the vehicle smelled like cigarette smoke so I also rejected it fearing I would be billed the 450$ penalty that Budget fines it's users for smoking in their vehicles.

She again refused to upgrade despite the long line of beautiful vehicles outside that I saw as a tried that smelly ford explorer. When I came back in, she first said she could not switch the vehicle, claiming the system would not allow it (which I discovered later was a lie). Finally, she gave us a Buick that had damage all down the right side and within a day needed engine oil as a warning flashed on the dash. It also needed washer fluid.

In summary, there are 2 major problems here. First, the base model pickup trucks Budget is using is unfit for the task of passenger 4WD rental. And Second, the woman at the Eagle airport needed to remove her ego from the situation and simply maintain a basic level of company consistency considering the trouble the guest was having.

Great check in staff at Eagle, ladies there always helpful and smiling. I have rented here for years, wonderful staff and cars. Our Jeep Rubicon was a hoot to drive.

Reserved a car to drive from Eagle airport to Denver airport along the I-70 corridor. The car was from FL and had all weather tires with tread depth below the minimum required for mountain winter travel. Had I encountered snow (which was forecast) and gotten stuck the fine would have been $650.

Budget Car Rental at Eagle-Vail Regional Airport provides the best service I have gotten from any car rental business. The staff are courteous and always go out of their way to accommodate any special needs. They know me by name as I travel there about once per month. I always feel welcomed and look forward to their smiling faces when I arrive.
