I visited this location a few years ago. Staff seemed nice enough but, unfortunately, not entirely competent. I had a check to deposit. I am a customer of Elevations Credit Union, and there is a program that allows customers to get checks deposited at credit unions other than Elevations. Since I live in Denver (the closest Elevations branch is in Boulder), I brought the check to this Colorado Credit Union branch.

The first person I spoke to seemed at a loss and asked a second employee for help. The two worked on this issue for what seemed like several minutes, and at the end said they could not authenticate and deposit the check.
I went to the nearby branch of Ent Credit Union where a single employee was able to complete the task immediately.

Colorado Credit Union is the only financial institution I've ever dealt with {or heard of} that is coinless. As an example: if you cash a check for $100.99 they will only give you $100. The 99 cents goes to your account. Can't find any mention of this on their website, and neither Bellco nor Navy Federal CUs do this.
They also have an abnormally long hold period for checks: I've had checks clear the institution they were written on and CCU still maintained a hold on the check for days afterwards. Can't find any mention of this on their website, either.
Their Money Market and CD rates fall far behind Navy Federal, but their loan rates are on a par with most other banks/CUs, so you can easily do better than what CCU offers.
Finally, most of the girls working there are attitudinal, difficult, and confrontational. I've seen them talking about me behind my back as I walk out the door.

Took over a week and multiple phone calls to get any updates on an application to open a CHECKING account. Was then told I had to wait to even CANCEL the application, I expected much better given the reviews of this CU but apparently something's wrong overall here. Do not recommend.

Edit: They respond faster to a public bad review than to my phone calls, only to say they tried calling me instead, meanwhile every time I called directly they said there was no one working on the account opening team. Very dishonest response which makes them look even worse in my eyes. I'll now make sure people in my circles know about this so they can avoid this CU for this behaviour.

I was having trouble with my account at CCU. I couldn't figure out how to work all of my features and was feeling a great deal of frustration. Lauren, a customer service agent, called me and worked with me until all of my issues were resolved. I couldn't be happier at this point with the service that CCU has provided me and I would highly recommend to friends or family in search of a loan or other services that CCU provides. Thank you CCU for making my experience a positive one.

Lauren is absolutely amazing to work with and super accommodating. She helped me out with an auto loan and was able to help me navigate through some hurdles. I am now in the process of switching over my checking and savings accounts to Colorado Credit Union due to the awesome service I received!

I have been a member of CCU way over 30 years and just had one of the best experinces on a car finance ever. A young lady by the name of Lauren P. at Downtown was the nicest and most Professional person I have dealt with in years. My wife even spoke of her kind even tone and laughter as we spoke. How many times have you conducted any type of business and its so "hurry up" or "I really don't want to do this right now"... Not with this lady, Lauren P. was kind, knowledgeable, took time with an old man that really appreciated it!!! By the way I'm in Tennessee not Colorado normally that's when its hard to get something done.

I am a small business owner and finding a bank that will truly work with you is challenging as many banks truly cater to corporate america and make promises they cannot deliver upon. I had enough of the large banks and went on the hunt seeking a credible financial institution that i can truly bank with. i called numerous Credit Unions as I had decided I needed to find a financial institution who is local and will truly help me grow and succeed. I made a check list as i called around and asked the hard questions. I ensured not to give any slack as I was seeking the best. During my search I stumbled upon Colorado Credit Union. I spoke to Terri Byassee who answered all of my questions and concerns. She was very personable and we truly felt her genuineness. She set up a meeting for my wife and I to sign up and go over what the Credit Union had to offer.

Currently today I have been working with Colorado Credit Union for approximately the last 9 months. Over this period Colorado Credit Union has worked with my business to offer financing services to my customers for automobiles. I have watched and observed Terri's attentiveness and care to all of our customers as she guides them through the process and sets them up for success. It truly has been a breath of fresh air to work with a financial institution that truly demonstrates they care about their members.

I'm truly excited about the future potential business products that CCU will offer for our continued growth.
