$40 to wash my barely dirty car. We have lived in Nederland many, many years. My husband has used this carwash to wash his truck since it opened. But, it was recently sold, the new owner jacked up the prices to a ridculous level, and the washing chemicals are now inferior (or they are throttled way down) so they do not clean your car -- meaning you have to wash longer and pay more (great way to increase profits). When the machine stopped, I was shocked to see it cut off at a $30 credit card limit (twice as much as the $15 at Buff's Car Wash in Boulder at the bottom of the Canyon). My car (which was not that dirty to begin with) was still not clean, and I had to spend an additional $10 -- $40 TOTAL! For a DIY wash! Why waste time and money at Gilpin Car Wash when in Boulder some guys at a carwash will clean your car for you for $20 (half of what Gilpin Car Wash charges for their crappy DIY wand-wash).

The owner Larr Krug replied, "There is no truth to anything you have said about Gilpin Car Wash. Please contact me so I can make it right." Here is what I said, Mr. Krug: your credit-card machine is set to turn off at $30. When the machine shut off, it cost me an additional $10 to wash my car, for a total of $40. I have the credit-card receipt. You need to learn some civility Mr. Krug and to not libel people whom publish a factual review about your car wash. I can go to Buff's Carwash in Boulder on Canyon (https://www.buffscarwash.com/) and spend $20 for a much better wash. These are the facts that people need to know.

Crazy expensive! A 10min wash and I got charged $22!!

Couldn't get the coin machine to give us change from cash. The vending machine also would not take our cash. We did not use the car wash because we did not have enough change. I can not form an honest opinion as to how well the car wash works because of this. We did not lose any money or gain anything. No need to refund us.

My vehicle had been dirty for a, getting real dirty up here in so I took it up to the local car wash which is gilpin car wash.it's really nice that they actually have a machine that just takes your credit cards and charge by the minute that way I don't have to deal with changing dollars for quarters, the car wash itself is very clean looks really good. I would definitely go back there again to get my car thank you so much.

Love that we have a multi-functional, self serve car wash in the peak to peak region! We recently got a great automated wash (we chose the "Rollins Pass" wash) but was a bit disappointed at how short of time the air dryer lasted! It's the shortest dryer I've ever experienced in an automated car wash, thus the 4 stars....

The high pressure wand in the middle bay for self serve wash did not work. Picked the $11 wash in the auto wash bay far left and it did alright. My car was fairly muddy and I ended up having to use bay farthest right to use high pressure hose to get mud off my tires. Owner just called to make good on the center bay wand not working. Pleasantly surprised on the follow up. I will definitely use again.

Needs more soap The last four times I went Here there was no high pressure soap Or brush soap Hard to clean a car like that But it's the only one in the area Would go more if soap worked
