I am a Nurse, previous Director of Nursing at other companies, I know a good or bad place when I see one! This place is AWESOME! VERY CLEAN AND
PERSONALABLE! I have sent many of my residents there as well as my husband. My husband couldn't walk when he got there. Therapy worked with him, and he was able to walk out of there. He had also sustained a 3rd degree burn, and it was healed before he left. If 10 stars were available, I would rate it a 10! . Also, the Administrator is awesome! He was available if needed, with a goal to only provide quality care. I HIGHLY recommend them! Thanks Ignite for the AWESOME CARE YOU PROVIDED FOR MY HUSBAND!

I can't say enough about this place. The difficulty in finding a good nursing home in this area, is UNBELIEVABLE! Ignite is, as far, as I'm concerned, top tier. I have been to quite a few nursing facilities around the area from East Chicago to Crown Point. Most, are absolutely terrible. Ignite is the needle in the haystack. Shelby and Alexis in admissions are amazing! Sarah, the nurse manager, is very kind. The young ladies that answer the phone are very helpful. The major plus is that my loved one had NO complaints! He was quite content. Well, if I'm honest, there were complaints about the food but, we understood. That food was not going to be like the food you eat at home. And oh, I do have one thing. The ohone system needs to be looked into. I made it known about the phones not ringing when my father first got to the facility. I ran into this issue more than a few times. But overall, this place is very very nice! Some may think why a gave a 5 star and maybe not a 4.5. Well, when you've seen what I've seen in these nursing facilities you'd understand. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all!!

I am genuinely shocked and appalled by the level of neglect and poor care at Ignite Medical Resort. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was clear that patient care is not a priority. The staff seems overwhelmed, disorganized, and completely unmotivated to provide even the most basic levels of care.
Patients are left unattended for long periods, calls for help are ignored, and any attempts to address these issues with management are met with excuses and deflection. It’s heartbreaking to see vulnerable individuals not getting the support and attention they desperately need.
The facility itself is poorly maintained; cleanliness is obviously not a priority. I witnessed unsanitary conditions that should never be acceptable in a medical environment. Rooms are left uncleaned, linens are rarely changed, and there seems to be no real effort to maintain a hygienic environment for the patients.
What’s worse is the lack of empathy and compassion from the staff. It’s one thing to be understaffed, but it’s another to completely disregard the comfort and well-being of the people in their care. Medications are often late or completely missed, basic needs are ignored, and there’s virtually no communication with families about the status of their loved ones.
I would not recommend Ignite Medical Resort to anyone. If you care about your loved ones, please look elsewhere. This place is a nightmare masquerading as a care facility. I truly hope changes are made, but until then, I strongly advise against trusting this facility with the care of anyone you love.
If I could give zero stars, I would. Absolutely unacceptable.

The reception and dining room areas were extravagant. However a receptionist was not available especially during visitation hours. It was difficult for guests and residents to order from the Starbucks.
PT&OT Teams were EXCELLENT!! However the gym space was not constructed for the number of residents assigned and their confidentiality.
Nursing Staff was personal & professional, however the weekend response team was slow, appearing short staffed for the number of residents assigned to them, their healthcare needs and on the Units.
Sometimes I required more assistance than other days, and response time varied. I had to request medications, ask Nurses to clarify what medications they were giving me because my doctors had specific instructions for taking my numerous medication list.
Dietary Team requires SIGNIFICANT improvement. They are EXTREMELY SHORT STAFFED, HEATING WARMERS NOT WORKING and LACKED NUTRITIONAL EDUCATION and KNOWLEDGE. Specific menu meals for diabetic, renal, cardiac, hypertension and cancer patients wasn’t provided. Meals were often delivered 2 hours late , if at all. As my mobility improved, I had to advocate not only for myself, but for others when I heard them complaining about no servicing . Dietary informed me that they didn’t know what to serve me because of my dietary restrictions, ran out of food or short staffed. My family delivered me food because the kitchen didn’t provide healthy food for residents who required snacks in between meals and late night.
IGNITE MEDICAL RESORTS, your staff is experiencing BURN OUT, TERMINATION, and CALL OFFS appear due to lack of Headquarters Support, Provisions for training, providing therapy and nursing equipment as required and better benefits.
Transportation Service drivers were professional, however they could require additional drivers to deliver residents on time for appointments.
IGNITE MEDICAL RESORTS you are significantly needed in our community. Please respond to resident and family CONCERNS. GOD BLESS YOU 🙏🏾!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ignite in Crown Point, IN. All the staff were amazing to my mother during her stay there! So attentive, thorough, kind and patient. Special thanks to Amy W. in the business office, Alexis, Jennifer and Sarah that were mom’s main nurses, and I cannot forget Anissa who not only was amazing to my mom, but taught me SO much before taking mom home with me. You all are superb!

I came in this morning to visit with my client who cannot speak for himself, in the dark at 11:30 am to feed him lunch and shave him as his family requested. There was a cold plate of food as I learned later was from the night before, because they came in with a fresh lunch plate at 1pm. For lunch today. HE is a child mentally like 2 though he is 70, so that means he is not a child or teen or adult mentally so he behaves accordingly, but the lower nursing staff gives up to easily on him and dietary is poorly doing their job, Only Sarah is the top notch person on her floor 😉. He needs to be treated with dignity and compassion by the CNA s and dietary personnel.

Mylie martis is the best brewista in a Starbucks I've have ever encountered. She's as sweet as Carmel and professional. She's the kind of person you feel you've known her forever. She goes up and above her qualifications for her position.

My husband was in Symphony two years ago and got great therapies for his situation. Rick PT and Nick ST were fantastic with him and got him ready to go home in ten weeks.
Currently my husband has had to go back to therapy and when I was asked at the hospital where I wanted him to be transferred, I asked them to call Ignite to see if Rick and Nick were still working there. Fortunately they both are still there. I knew my husband would be getting the best PT and OT from them which gave me confidence he would meet his goals to be able to go home.
The minute I walked in the front door of Ignite this time I could tell it was different. From Alexis , Director of Hospitality who warmly greeted us, to the nurses, CNAs and kitchen staff (food is good), each person has been friendly, helpful, professional and compassionate. We feel comfortable here this time and want to applaud Robert, the General Manager, for his attention to detail in running Ignite. He and his team are to be commended for a job well done!!
