Decent service, but they change their monthly rate too often. They’ve raised the cost of my storage unit twice in the past 4 months. If I had a choice I’d go elsewhere to store I would but due to Juneau lacking excess of supply in every aspect I’m stuck paying an unexpected price every month. Just because the cost of energy goes up, on almost a monthly basis at this point, the cost of almost anything stays for a certain amount of time before having to adjust. I understand the cost of operations increasing but multiple times a year seems a little much ehh? Seems like either bad accounting, management, and/or a cash grab.

My experience started off fine, with a helpful offer to go check for an empty unit that may be available. I was given a return call to say yes, the unit is available as the other individual had not paid for the unit. After driving to the business office, I was told they were going to offer this other individual an additional 2 hours to come in and pay for their storage unit. Even after that timeframe had elapsed, an additional hour was given for the other party because they were on their way to pay. I get being loyal to repeat customers in the storage business, but they lost my business by constantly changing their story and not coming through with the promised storage unit. If you're active duty military and don't have time to waste chasing down storage options, I recommend checking with Glacier Mini Storage and Space Unlimited.

Juneau Self Storage has a secured front gate where you have to enter your security code to get in. Once you get through the gate to get to the building where your storage unit is at, you have to enter another code. Once you get inside the facility your storage space is secured with a padlock. The facility is heated, and well kept. I am very satisfied with the security of the building. Juneau Self Storage is one of the nicer storage facilities in town.

I was on the top of the waiting list for a month, they called me on a Friday to say a unit was open. I didn’t get off work until after hours. Left a voice message over the weekend saying I’d come first thing Monday morning. Here I am, Monday morning, and they sold out the unit from under me and told me they’d put me on a waiting list. Terrible service, terrible company, would not ever recommend trying to do business here.
