7/3/25 I dropped off my Hummer for a steering issue.
7/28/25 My paid invoice is showing "complete" under the word "status" but they say the new steering shaft makes a noise & splines "hop" when turning the steering wheel. They asked me to take it for a test drive to see what i think. I went to the Hummer and verified that the splines were skipping and the noise while turning the steering wheel just even a little bit is concerning. It will make your hair stand on end knowing that this shaft skips splines when you're driving. Caylee wasn't going to do anything about it. She left me hanging after I just paid them the $1,500 repair bill. I found the substitute General Manager that day and he says to me "Leave it there and they will fix it for no additional cost to me. I'm thinking to myself: I already paid once, why would there be an additional cost...?
9/3/2025 My Hummer Is still at Renn Kirby In Gettysburg. It been there for 2 months now. Caylee said the new part is defective and are waiting on a warranty claim. Meanwhile, I paid full coverage auto insurance premiums for July & August 2025 for my Hummer while on their lot waiting.
9/3 This Is the day I was informed about this being an Ebay purchase.
I asked them in-person today when can I have my vehicle back, they could NOT give me an answer. The big girl mocked me in the showroom in front of a customer on this day. They got their feelings hurt after I gave it right back. Now I'm the bad guy?

***I have now officially filed a complaint with The Better Business Bureau (BBB) whilst my Hummer is making absolutely NO progress at RENN KIRBY CHEVROLET in Gettysburg since JULY 28th. They lied to BBB multiple times In their rebuttal.

I called to speak to the service manager Caylee. They say she was on another call again and she would call me back again. She never called me back both times!
I also sent a message through their website to the General Manager asking when will my vehicle be fixed and safe to drive ? I get absolutely NO answers from anybody here.

2 months 2 weeks and 3 days Later...
My call went unanswered today when I called to see if my Hummer Is still there for a status update? I left a message. I again got no call back.

I go there and was told by Caylee they still didn't hear back from the eBay seller about said warranty claim they initiated about 45 days ago..

LISTEN UP FOLKS, YOU WON'T BELEIVE WHAT THEY SAYING NOW...
Today they finally tell me they are unable to fix my Hummer (remember this). WOW, just WOW. Jen now tells me to pick up my Hummer. I asked, "what about my $1,500 I paid for the botched repair, she said "we are not giving you your money back and it is now "fixed". WOW. Jen is now saying that I instructed them to do what they did....? I didn't buy the part. I didn't install the part. I didn't supervise the installation, I didn't pick this part to buy. This part that THEY bought and THEY installed is now the issue. How the heck am I to blame... I'm the customer, I paid a business for a service, that is what I did. This Is like the 3rd excuse they used. They actually held my Hummer for the last 2 months for no reason while they lied to me multiple times about waiting on a warranty claim.
July 28th to September 25th this dealership made absolutely NO attempt to contact me in any way....But when I went in person the last time about the "warranty claim" Caylee now said "the Ebay seller does not return their calls". I listened to excuses patiently for 2 months. When i drove it home from their dealership after Jen told me "it's fixed"(her words not mine), I was in fear for my life the whole way home.
***Warranty claim was bullshit***
They never sent the shaft back, it's still in my Hummer plus now there is excessively dangerous play in the steering while driving in addition to the shaft splines skipping while driving!

She was very knowledgeable and was genuinely concerned of my mother's needs and desires. There was no pressure whatsoever and the service she provided to my mother was beyond any that I have ever encountered at a dealership.
