Dropped off an Amazon return in the overstuffed drop box last week and it magically has disappeared and never been scanned. I went to the office today and was told that it was lost and to call the 1-800#. The picture below is from today's box. The service is worse than the post office. Never use the drop box and always get a receipt at the counter. Way to go UPS!!!!

And NO, I am not wasting more of my time to contact you with all my return details. How about you fix the UPS office in Juneau? That is a novel idea..... just sayin...

Corporate, pay attention and get these guys more staff. They bust their asses to help us but you leave them shorthanded despite all the feedback. This is our only UPS location in town, add a position dedicated to the desk and give us hours that don’t require leaving our day jobs to get there.

They worked a miracle that neither the vendor or your corporate zombies could or would assist with, preventing my packages from needlessly being shipped back. If a receiving party needs their delivery modified and HELD for PICKUP you need to ALWAYS allow that to happen and not tell me the shipper restricted it. I’m there, in person, with ID. Thanks go to the local staff for making it happen when nobody else did. I wish I could buy them all beers.

The UPS in Juneau Ak has fantastic staff who are compatent, respectful, knowledgeable and helpful. This UPS SITE is NOT a UPS STORE. Meaning if you're looking for mailboxes, packing supplies or any other post office service you should just go to the actual post office. This site delivers your packages and possibly picks up the occasional one but mostly it is only delivery. That's it.

Having said that, they do allow you to pick up your package in the evening between 7-8pm Monday through Friday if for whatever reason the item couldn't be left or there was no one to sign for it. Something I think is pretty convenient since otherwise you would have to wait until the next day for the package to be redelivered and if you work then you're going to have the same issue. If you are busy in the evening then conveniently they are also open from 9-11am Monday through Friday (closed on weekends. There is a drop box outside for smaller return parcels available anytime...

Keep in mind that this is not a store so there is not a separate employee who works the counter while a whole fleet of other people drive the delivery trucks. The wearhouse where you pick up your package is the same place they house their 5 or so delivery trucks which is out by the airport since it wouldn't make sense for a wearhouse to be anywhere else when all of the packages they deliver come from said airport.

Remember, THIS IS NOT A STORE BUT A SITE.

Edit: DO NOT GO HERE. This place is a disgrace to UPS. Wrong hours and systemic stolen packages. There is a newly opened place on Industrial with great hours and staff - go there.

Edit Edit: they message like they are going to change something but never do. Update the hours and make a better package drop. That’s what you can do UPS!

How can UPS suck this much? Their hours are always wrong. They’re outdoor boxes are always crammed full. Please figure it out. It’s not hard.

We need a decent real ups store in Juneau because we in Alaska HAVE TO do online shopping. Please close the unhelpful dump and open a store downtown. So another update,,, it's Friday so I get all my packages together drive 20 minutes in the rain to find 18 people standing outside, packages overstuffed in drop box getting soaked and they're just closed. No sign, just closed. We deserve better,,, living in Juneau we all NEED a UPS store that has regular hours and IS,,, open, we deserve better !

I preface this negative review by saying that in my experience UPS delivery drivers are great and I greatly appreciate their hard work.

The Juneau UPS site location however is simply the most pathetic UPS shipping location in North America. For starters this UPS site has the strangest hours, 9-11AM and 7-9PM? Even with the bizarre hours they are simply closed every other week for no apparent reason. This has been their standard practice for over a decade.

The UPS drop box in front of their store is too small to fit 90% of packages, and even then it is usually so full that the door cannot even close. I have commonly seen 6ft tall piles of boxes stacked up in front of their door getting soaked from the rain.

Somehow FedEx has well staffed store front right around the corner. Not sure why UPS hates it's employees and customers so much, but it very apparent. Lot's of easy ways to fix these problems, but UPS simply does not care.

Hours of operation posted are inaccurate. There is nobody here from 5-6pm on weekdays. Those of us with full time jobs are out of luck, since UPS only wants to be open 2 hours per day on weekdays, 9am-11am. Asinine.

First their hours were 9-11 and then 5-6, which was bad enough. They've gotten rid of the 5-6 now. I guess it's people who work 9 to 5's don't get to have UPS packages anymore.
