If you are looking to get any type of help buying a pre-manufactured home or mobile home of any type I highly recommend NOT to go with place!! My husband and I were referred to this credit union by a very close relative to see if my husband can get approved for a mobile home loan (we have ALWAYS wanted to buy one now that he’s over the age limit in some of the mobile home parks) he was shot down within 30 seconds of speaking to the person on the other line! We were explained to by the other lender we were speaking to (close relative) that he could get approved for a mobile home loan through their credit union because they offer FHA loans and several others that work with people who do not have perfect credit (his score was pretty good just not perfect) and can’t do a huge down payment but want to buy. My husband and I were in such big hope to be able to buy us something that was going to be ours until we grew old together. We were trying to get us a home that would keep us from being homeless in this crazy state we live in. We both work so hard and had our hopes up and to be treated like we weren’t good enough for their company was an awful feeling! Not many offer mobile home loans so I guess we’ll have to keep working harder and save every penny to just pay cash for one, one day!

I will say this to all you future mobile home buyers, if you’re looking to buy a home through this credit union or a mobile home or a pre-manufactured home I would run and try to find yourself another bank because you will probably be treated as bad as we were treated!!!

Everytime it's something different. Honestly, the feeling I get every time I go in is that they do not want to help me. They look for any excuse to deny transactions.

This time I went to deposit a check made out to my business which has my last name into my account and they denied me. I've deposited only biz never been a problem. Suddenly after driving an hour to reach the bank it's a problem.
Of course I could try to deposit the check via ATM because an ATM has more discretion than a person..... In what world does that make sense. I don't even have an ATM to this account because I've only deposited money in it.

The tellers are generally nice, it's the BOS that just sits behind the desk and provides minimal assistance that really gives off the I won't help you vibe. And to be so scared to do your job that you would rather send someone to an ATM just leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.

I'm closing my account and once my loan is done, I will be done with Yolo. Which is really sad because I've had much better experiences when not dealing with this branch in particular.

They are not clear about their policies and will charge you because you are not a tier 3 customer says one representative and then another says that’s not true. Get an account at your own risk. They seem to have unclear shady policies.

TL;DR is I don't know about banking here, but this is hands-down the best place to get a hassle-free and honest car loan, with professional, kind, and helpful staff - a real hidden gem! I've been a borrower with them for 5 years, for 2 different new car loans now. You won't find better rates or better customer service.

Long Version:

Full disclosure I don't bank here, but I have gone through them for 2 different car loans and they consistently have the best rates and customer service. Absolutely perfect for my needs, couldn't ask for better. Not gimmicky like other credit unions and lenders in the Sacramento area. You have to work in Yolo County, or live there, to be a customer but if you move or change jobs you are grandfathered in. I'm so glad because I was able to take out another loan from them for a new car, even though I switched from working in Yolo to working and living in Sac.

Aubrey the branch manager here is absolutely amazing. I came in as a walk-in to inquire about a new loan and instead of having to schedule an appt for another day with the front desk, she overheard and volunteered to squeeze me in. My previous car I had a loan for with them was totaled by a hit/run DUI driver, so I was having to go back and forth between insurance, YFCU, and the dealership like a mad woman for a few days trying to get a replacement vehicle. Aubrey was either always available or got back to me promptly. She definitely made me feel like she went above and beyond to help me out, and I'm so thankful to have such an accountable and trustworthy lender. (Aubrey if you're reading this, thank you again for all your help!)

I do agree with technical issues as mentioned by others, but I notice they have made some improvements to their website and it was a much better user interface last month than it was years ago when I first became a customer. But also, as mentioned, their walk-in service and availability by phone or email are amazing, and I'm able to take care of everything I need to that way so it makes up for it.

If you're just car-loan shopping, and work or live in Yolo County, they are definitely worth shopping at. You can't beat them. So glad I found them!

We really love this bank and we’ve been using since 2011. I got problem with one of the lady. Her name is Perti. I don’t know what wrong with she. I’m Asian and she is also Asian too. Every time I go there, she looks me down. All of others are super nice than other banks. I live in Folsom but I go there almost every day because all of them are really nice and friendly except her.
I was asking to help me when I got there because Petrina was busy with other customer. So I asked her to help me nicely. She said no and she is busy to open 3 accounts. This is the third times she is doing like that.

I’m going to be open another bank at Folsom. I won’t go back again.

Only one local location. I chose this Credit Union because it was a Federal Credit Union. Went in checked for he person handiling new accounts, the instructed me to wait until he finished whatever paperwork he was handling I was not offered a seat I located one and sat 15 minutes later I was still sitting this guy walked out past me said something else but hardly acknowledging me waiting.. the Tellers was looking at him curiously. It was obvious my business was valued left 5 minutes later.
